"Honestly nicer to browse than I expected"
I took a look at Shalimar and was pleasantly surprised by how clean and easy it was to use. Right away, it felt simple and not cluttered, which made a good first impression.
The pages loaded smoothly for me, and the photos were clear enough to get a good feel for things. I didn’t have to dig around or click endlessly to find what I was looking for.
Overall, the site feels neat, straightforward, and easy to trust. I wasn’t expecting much at first, but I’d feel comfortable ordering from here.

"Am I the only one who expects takeout..."
Am I the only one who expects takeout to at least be warm when it arrives? I ended up waiting way longer than expected, and by the time I got the food, it was cold. Disappointing overall.

"Tasty curry, I’d order it again"
I really enjoyed the curry, it had a nice spice to it and wasn’t too oily, which I appreciated. The chicken was soft, and the sauce had a really good flavour. I guess, actually, the only thing is I would’ve liked it a bit hotter. Still, it was a solid order and I’d definitely get it again

"Food was barely warm"
The taste was okay, but the food showed up only kinda warm, which is ridiculous when you’re expecting a hot meal. Not terrible, but definitely disappointing.

"Desserts didn’t really live up to the hype"
I really wanted to like the desserts, but i left feeling a little let down. The cake was dry, and the pudding had that stale, been-sitting-around-too-long taste. It wasn’t awful, but I kept wondering if I’d been talked into expecting something way better than what I actually got.

"Really solid veggie food"
I ordered from Shalimar SLO and had such a good experience. The vegetarian options were great, and the saag paneer and chana masala were both really flavorful. A lot of places make veggie dishes taste like they forgot the seasoning, but this was not that at all, and the portions felt totally fair.
It’s always such a relief finding a spot where vegetarian food feels like actual food and not just the one sad thing they threw on the menu. Ordering was easy, everything showed up warm, and I’d definitely order from here again.

"Decent Food, Just Didn’t Feel Fully Authentic"
Got food from Shalimar the other night. It was fine. Actually, decent overall. The curries had a nice amount of spice, which I appreciated, but some of the flavors felt kind of softened or toned down compared to what I was expecting.
The naan was probably my favorite part. Rice was just normal, nothing really stood out there. I ate it, enjoyed it enough, but kept thinking it didn’t quite hit that authentic feel for me. Not bad at all, just not amazing. Three stars feels about right.

"Maybe I expected too much from the tandoori"
I tried the tandoori chicken it was just okay. It showed up a bit dry and not really that hot, and the flavors felt kind of flat to me. Maybe I caught them on an off day, or maybe I’m being too picky, but I was hoping for more.

"Medium spice was just right"
From what I remember, I asked for medium spice and it came out pretty much perfect. It had a nice little kick, but nothing that made it hard to enjoy. The food was still hot when it arrived too, which I always appreciate. I’d definitely order again

"Nice staff, but I was left waiting"
The staff was friendly whenever they got back to me, but the replies were slower than I expected. I also felt like the next steps weren’t really made clear, so I spent a lot of time just waiting around and wondering what I was supposed to do next.

"Staff weren’t really paying attention"
My order was fine overall, but the service just felt kind of careless. I had a question and had to repeat myself a few times before anyone actually helped, and even then the replies were slow. I don’t know if it’s the staff or whoever runs this, but it didn’t really feel like anyone cared that much. Not the worst experience, just disappointing.

"Really good vegan choices"
I was happy with the vegan options on shalimarslo.com. The menu was easy to understand, which is a big deal when you’re trying to avoid dairy and meat, and the ordering process was simple. I also got the confirmation email and receipt right away, so I knew everything went through fine.
The food showed up tasting fresh and had a lot of flavor, not bland like some vegan meals can be. Delivery was smooth too, and overall it was just an easy, solid experience. I’d definitely order from them again

"Wait wasn’t too bad"
My order went through without any issues, and the wait time seemed normal to me. I mean, maybe I just caught them at a good time, but I didn’t feel like I was sitting around forever. Got what I needed, so no real complaints.

The service was okay overall, and the staff seemed nice enough, but it ended up taking longer than I was expecting. Nothing was really wrong or bad, it just felt a bit slow, especially since I was hoping things would move along a little quicker. Not a terrible experience by any means, just kind of a waiting-around-more-than-I-wanted situation.

"Food was fine, drinks could use some work"
I ordered from shalimarslo.com and the food was decent enough, but the drink options were a little underwhelming. I kind of expected there to be a few more choices, like juices or different sodas, but it was mostly the usual basics. It didn’t ruin the meal or anything, but it did make the order feel like something was missing. A bit more variety would definitely help...

"Tasty spot I’d try again"
I thought the food was really good overall — fresh, flavorful, and the curries were definitely the highlight for me. Portions were decent too. One dish was a little saltier than I personally like, but it didn’t ruin the meal. I still enjoyed everything and would recommend giving it a try. I’d order from here again.

"Not the coziest spot"
The food was fine, but the place just didn’t feel super cozy to me. The lighting was bright, bright, like a little too much for a relaxing meal, and the whole vibe felt kind of flat. It wasn’t bad, not bad at all, just not somewhere I’d want to hang out for very long.

"Felt really good eating here"
I went in for dinner the place just felt really clean and comfortable right away. The tables were wiped down, the floor looked taken care of, and even the bathroom was tidy, which always makes me feel better about eating somewhere. There were no weird smells or messes around, so I could actually relax and enjoy my meal. I’d definitely go back.
